hopefully this coming week matt can continue with what joe did on their land in columbia county. as for myself, im bringing out my bow for the very first time for turkeys in the spring. hopefully one of these gobblers will lose their head over me ; ) . stay tuned for next weeks blog on how we did second week of turkey hunting.
In wisconsin's first week of turkey hunting the crew had an up and down week. first off, one of our main pro staffers joe haas ended up shooting a stud tom, 24 lbs, 10-3/4" beard and 1-1/2" spurs. however, one hour north of joe the team of dan haas and myself (zach) were not quite as fortunate. we battled with snow/sleet/rain/extreme winds. all weekend a single gobble was never heard. it was tough but thats why they call it hunting and not harvesting.

Hell of a bird Joe, any bird with a beard would of been nice being the weather was so bad. But this is a heck of a trophy! Nice job
