I have always loved the outdoors. I started fishing with my dad as soon as I could hold a rod whether it was in a boat, on the ice, or fishing from shore from my grandma and grandpas. As I got older I could not wait to start hunting with my dad and the hunting group. For many years I hunted public land where I learned a lot from how to hunt with others, and where to set up for the hunting season to get away from all the pressure. When I was young I had my down falls of being not the greatest shot. I did miss a few deer, with some being nice bucks, but it was all a part of the learning curve, because I now feel that I am a better shot because of it. I now hunt private land with my cousin Seth Gade, and sooner or later I will connect with that big buck. I missed a big one a couple years ago but learned from it on what I did wrong. Now it's just a matter of one walking by me in range. When I am not hunting I love to work on food plots; deciding what to plant, and making new ones. I also love fine tuning our tree stands for better sits when hunting. If I am not plotting or doing stand work I try to fish a lot of bass tournaments in different organizations. I also love getting out and pre-fishing or just fishing for fun. Anything to be outside.
I graduated high school in 1999 from Beaver Dam High, then went to MATC Madison Wi for construction and graduated in 2000. After that I joined the apprenticeship program and got my journeymen's in 2004 I now work for J.H. Findorff in Madison and do mostly all commercial construction.
I was married to my wonderful wife Cory on June 1 2013. We love to travel when we can or go camping and she also likes to fish. we have 2 cats and 2 dogs mayhem and chaos . I love to get the dogs out and work with them, and I am in the process of training them both to be shed hunting dogs. So with that said, I can't wait to get them out into the woods and find some bone.
