In this week's update we look at the plants that had signs of stress from the lack of rain last week, as well as take a closer look at the plants within the food plots. The biggest question, we will finally get into Week 1 of the Hillside Plot? Watch the video below to see the growth and see if the plants have broken ground in the Hillside Plot. Enjoy and make sure to stop by www.frigidforage.com !

In this week's update, I finally get started on the hillside plot, find an unpleasant sight in the creek plot, get surprised in the pine plot, and bored in the field plot. Watch below to see what I found in each of my four food plots.
Sorry for the delay Haastyle Fans!!! My computer and myself were battling out to get this video uploaded and finally I won and you got yourself the third Frigid Forage Weekly Update.
In this week’s update I start by thinking that nothing too crazy was happening in my food plots. However, as you will find out…I was most definitely wrong! We can't wait to start laying down some seed and satisfy our inner gardener!!! Keep coming back to the website and see if the plottin action has begun!!!!
Also, if you are in need of getting your seed. Use what Team Haastyle uses and stop by www.frigidforage.com today and place your order today. Tell em' Team Haastyle sent you. Well we finally find ourselves near the end of August and I must say that the food plots have definitely turned out GREAT!!! This past weekend I wasnt able to get pictures due to camera problems (Sorry). However, after putting up my new food plot stand setup up I took a walk through the plot and found my first turnips begin to show up. As of Sunday, August 21st the turnips are already approximately the size of golf balls!!! This weekend I can not wait to see how much a week has done for their size. So I PROMISE...this week you will get to see how the turnips are doing as well as overall size of my plot.
As for Seth's "Box Stand Plot", the liquid fertilizer that was applied has finally turned his plot around. The food plot is beginning to fill in and the turnips/brassicas are beginning to get some good size to them. With only one more month until our bow season opens up here in Wisconsin, its a good thing that his plants started to explode in growth. Make sure to come to the site this coming weekend to check out the next installment of the "Frigid Weekly Update". I will not let all of you down this coming week by not posting pictures of our plots. So stay tuned!!! After a good weekend of rain, I couldnt be more excited to show you this weeks "Frigid Weekly Update". The food plot in front of my gun stand has absolutely EXPLODED!!! Im starting to wonder if Frigid Forage is using ancient seed from the time of dinosaurs, because the height and leaf size is absolutely mind-blowing. Seth's "Box Stand Plot" has had a rough start but after finding out that the plants could use some much needed fertilizer, Seth did just that. Now with the fertilizer on the plants and in the ground the growth has finally kicked up a notch. Check out the current growth down below. seth's "box stand plot"Here is the second part to this weeks Frigid Weekly Update. The reason behind the second posting is the previous post was for the 3rd week of growth of my food plot (Zach Haas) and the first week of growth for Seth Gade's food plot. Here are pictures from this past weekend showing the one month mark of growth for my Big N Beasty Brassica food plot. The plot is even starting to smell like a garden and im loving it. Hopefully that strong aroma will bring in one of the great bucks I watched last year (Krueger, Repeat, Santana, etc.). Sorry for the delay on the "Frigid Weekly Update"...been busy getting ready for the bow season here in Wisconsin. However, here are the pictures of my food plot after 3 weeks of growth and Seth's "Box Stand Plot" after one week of growth. The growth we are seeing is awesome and before you know it there will be turnips developing. Hope the deer have quite an appetite this season. :) |
